MEET SHORELINE PREFERRED PROPERTIES’ EMPLOYEES

Jennifer Paugh, Rental Manager at Shoreline Preferred Properties, is not an unfamiliar face in the Outer Banks Vacation industry. She has over 15 years experience in property management, 14 of which were at the same company, proving that commitment is very important to her. Jennifer was born in Franklin, Virginia and was raised in Western Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in English from Frostburg State University in 1990, and moved to the Outer Banks immediately after graduation. She earned her NC Real Estate Broker’s license in 1992.

Jennifer is an active member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, having served as Chairman of the Property Management Committee in 2002. She has also attended, participated and lectured at National Vacation Rental Managers” Association Conferences around the country. Jennifer has eight years of experience in vacation rentals on the northern beaches (including Carova, Corolla and Duck) and eight years experience in the industry from Kill Devil Hills through South Nags Head as well. She enjoys forming long lasting relationships with her property owners and vacation guests and believes this can be done through excellent communication and a positive attitude.

Jennifer enjoys spending as much time as possible at the beach and cheering on her children, Alison and Bryan, in basketball, soccer and baseball!

Ted Farver, Rental Operations Manager/Partner at Shoreline Preferred Properties has worked in the Corolla area for the last six years and has owned a rental home in Corolla/Kitty Hawk since 1992. When Ted started as a property consultant, his mission was to bring a more analytical approach to property management. Before coming to the Outer Banks, Ted was a corporate officer and logistics vice president for a major consumer goods company operating from New Jersey. Ted is familiar with finding efficiencies with limited resources and tight budgets

Ted is a member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, a Rotarian in the Kitty Hawk Rotary Club, and a member of Duck Woods Country Club. Ted strongly believes that there is a great need for rental companies that can provide quality homes to guests. In fact, rental homeowners are now searching out those companies. Those homeowners find that they have a definite bottom line advantage

Ted was born in Springfield, Ohio. He received a Bachelors of Science degree from Bowling Green State University before moving with wife, Donna to California for 12 years. Ted currently lives in Southern Shores and has two children, Kelly and Kevin.

Dan Lester, General Manager/Partner at Shoreline Preferred Properties, has worked in the Property Management field on the outer banks for the past 6 years. Dan has been involved in the ownership of vacation properties for 5 of the past 8 years, 2 of which were as a remote homeowner. This experience has provided a deep understanding of the need for quality property management services on the Outer Banks. Prior to coming to the Outer Banks, Dan spent several years selling Enterprise level software solutions to the Federal Government and Fortune 500 companies. This experience will be valuable in creating an organization that uses the latest technologies and strategies to provide a competitive advantage that will benefit the company and the owners that we represent.

Dan is a member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors and holds the GRI and Recreation and Resort Specialist Designations. He has a degree in Finance from Marymount University.

Dan was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in both Pittsburgh and Northern Virginia. Dan moved to the Outer Banks after the birth of his daughter. He and his wife wanted to give their daughter a small town environment to grow up in. Dan resides in Southern Shores with his wife Becky, daughter Madison, dog FETCH and three turtles.

Vivian Whelan, Owner and Guest Services Director at Shoreline Preferred Properties, Vivian comes to Shoreline with over 11 years of experience in property management, housekeeping, customer service and check in procedures. She has worked all the way from Corolla to Avon for various property management companies. Vivian has very high standards when it comes to the housekeeping department, which is apparent from the great jobs that her cleaning crews do!

Vivian is a native on the Outer Banks…born and raised here! She loves the area and the people! She enjoys going to the beach and fishing! She and her husband, Steve, Reside in Powell’s Point with their 3 Labs…Butch, Cassidy and Sundance!

Vicque Jackson, Reservation Specialist - Was born in Delaware and loved spending summers at the Delaware beaches. She graduated from University of Delaware with a BSBA in Business Administration, Finance and MIS/DSS. After graduation, Vicque worked as a Systems Analyst Consultant for fortune 100 companies, like AT&T and AIG. While consulting, Vicque and a partner, started the nations first pre-foreclosure real estate magazine and wrote a book, Focusing On Foreclosures. She enjoys purchasing distressed real estate and re-habbing it for rental or re-sale. In 1998, Vicque relocated to the Outer Banks, with her daughter, Lexy and son, Weston. She has performed locally with the Theater of Dare. She is a volunteer and coordinator for the non-profit Beach Food Pantry. She loves the small town atmosphere of the Outer Banks and resides in Southern Shores with her children, her dog Cooper, cats Oreo and Runion, a turtle and fish.

Elaine Robey, Property Consultant at Shoreline Preferred Properties, relocated to the beautiful Outer Banks in 1987 from Pittsburgh, PA. after vacationing here for years. Shortly after arriving, she began working for a local real estate attorney processing closings, while attending night school for her Real Estate License.

Elaine has worked in the Rental Department, listed and sold Real Estate for for other companies on the Outer Banks. She looks forward to using her expertise to assist homeowners achieve the maximum potential on their houses.

Bobby Viers, Maintenance Supervisor at Shoreline Preferred Properties, relocated to the Outer Banks from VA Beach in 2005, after serving in the Marine Corp for 2 years and traveling the country as flight engineer for the Fuji Blimp. Bobby is best known for his outgoing and humorous personality. His knowledge in the maintenance field is endless which has proven to be very useful in his position.

Bobby and his wife April reside in Kill Devil Hills, with their 4 rescued dogs and a geriatric cat. He is an avid artist and surfer and April is a local bank Assistant Vice President.
